Water treatment

• Ensure the daily monitoring of the water quality of the indoor and outdoor pools.
• Carry out the regulatory checks: pH, free chlorine, combined chlorine, temperature, transparency and other parameters imposed by the regulations.
• Take the necessary samples and analyses.
• Adjust the dosages and settings of the treatment installations.
• Ensure permanent compliance with the standards imposed by AVIQ, the Walloon Region and the health authorities.

Technical installations

Ensure the control, monitoring and maintenance of the installations:

• Filtration, pumps and booster pumps.
• Boilers, heat exchangers and heating installations.
• Ventilation and dehumidification installations.
• Electrical installations and automatic dosing systems.
• Technical alarms and safety equipment.
• Slides and play equipment.

Preventive and corrective maintenance

• Carry out the preventive maintenance plans and perform regular technical inspections.
• Identify the risks of breakdown before they occur.
• Ensure the replacement of consumables and wear parts.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs within the limits of your skills.
• Organise and follow up specialised interventions and guarantee the rapid return to service of the equipment.
• Take part in the continuous improvement of the installations.

Management of external companies

• Support the technical service providers and follow up the maintenance contracts.
• Check the quality of the interventions carried out and verify the intervention reports.
• Report any anomaly to the Management.

Safety

• Comply with and enforce the safety procedures.
• Handle chemical products in accordance with the legal requirements.
• Use personal protective equipment.
• Take part in emergency drills.
• Report any dangerous situation immediately.

Document and IT management

• Complete the mandatory technical registers and record the daily checks.
• Keep the maintenance logs up to date.
• Feed the SharePoint tools and the technical management software.
• Take part in drafting and updating the technical procedures, the emergency plans and the maintenance protocols.

General site maintenance

• Take part in the maintenance of the surroundings.
• Carry out minor building works: plumbing, locksmithing, painting, light carpentry and various repairs.
• Ensure the good general presentation of the facilities.

Profile sought

Technical diploma of upper secondary level or technical bachelor’s degree, ideally in one of the following fields:

• Electromechanics.
• Electricity.
• Automation.
• Industrial maintenance.
• Special building techniques.

Assets

• Experience in a public pool.
• Knowledge of Menerga installations or equivalent.
• First-aid certificate.
• BA4 or BA5.
• Knowledge of water treatment.
• Knowledge of technical management software.

Guarantee the permanent availability of the installations, the safety of users and staff, and the regulatory compliance of all the equipment of the Pool of Spa.
